He just needed a manager to give him a go and have some belief in him which Unsworth did. He hasn’t looked back since. If you listened to his interviews when he played for England U17 and took the winning penalty kick in the Euro final you’d have no doubt about his belief and mental toughness. There’s a reason why Unsworth made him U23 Captain a while back. He's grown up a lot in 6 months. He was extremely poor and then made a shambolic error at Leicester.
But the reaction ever since that OG has been outstanding. I can't stress how impressed I am with his attitude and toughness. We need men and he is becoming one.
Totally agree. As his confidence grows he'll show what he can do. Let's not forget he came into a very poor struggling side and he he's only a young lad.I think you’re underestimating him, I’ve seen him play numerous times for U18’s and U23 and he’s no Hibbert with the ball, he’s a good footballer.
His awareness at the back post on crosses is unreal. He’s 2nd sometimes 3rd favourite on some of those headers
He’s great at stopping the cross coming in which I sometimes think Coleman doesn’t do enough of. His back post defending is really very good for such a young lad. It was doing my head in when Koeman signed Martina and wouldn’t give him a chance so it’s great to see him doing so well.I think the biggest difference is Coleman could do it all on his own (as he could outrun almost everyone), but Kenny isn't without skill. Hits a better cross than Seamus as well
I guarantee you are wrong. You obviously havent followed his career. You will be pleasantly surprised.Hmmm, I wouldn't say he was a 'natural' with the ball at his feet. I'm sure he can be neat and tidy in the right circumstances but I can't see him marauding down the wing any time in a way I like to see our full backs doing.
I thought my head was gonna explode mate. Koeman lost my support with that decision. Apart from the player, I’m really made up for David Unsworth whose judgement has been spot on with Kenny. As has @mightymoyes @blueloon @bluestevon @Zatara @maccavennie amongst others (who I can’t remember right now)!I thought my head was gonna explode mate. Koeman lost my support with that decision. ive hardly seen him in all honesty apart from the England youth games when he's looked like a class player in the making.
Some people have commented that he doesn't look good going forward, another Hibbert etc....that's not the case at all from what ive seen.
Kenny can pass...give and go...cross the ball and all whilst being solid defensively. Coleman is more of a one man direct running attacker whilst imo Kenny is more of an all rounder.
