Putting things into perspective, he’s started two games now , still very early days for a talented 20 year old right back. Kenny has been a top full back in his age group for four years now , progressing nicely each year. He’s not someone who can rely on out and out physicality , so makes up for it with his positioning and tenacity in the tackle. He’s also adopting to how more senior players play, with the U23s he was a senior player , make a run and the ball was delivered to him and he’d make a cross, there is understandably a bit more reluctance for first team players to feed him the ball.
The big positive is that with Unsy he will have his weakness pointed out , worked on and improved in terms of what’s needed at PL level. He’ll undoubtedly have the odd blip along the way but by the end of the season along with Seamus we should have our right back position sorted for the future.
