First time this season you sense he has felt he could play with the handbrake off. I have said in this thread he is a much better player going forward than we had seen before tonight and don’t think it was a coincidence that he played better with holgate next to him who he has obviously played a lot of games with and has confidence in.
Really pleased to see him getting some recognition tonight because he has been solid in the face of some pretty shaky performances around him recently. Those who have seen him in the youth teams will say there is more to come and hopefully we can have a settled back four that allows Jonjoe to get forward more.
