Not convinced on this one based on injury record, not going to be a starter, questionable if he is good enough (lessened by the backup role which i think he would be fine for without injuries but don't see him accepting such a role) but more so for the price with only a year on his contract and guaranteed to be a free agent next summer.
I think the perfect compromise for me would be a similar deal to what we had with Man City for Barry, bring him on loan as he would play a good amount of games just out of rotation alone but it also gives us a chance to really see if his injuries are in the past and is good enough to perhaps even threaten Jags position going into the 16/17 season and agree a fee with Utd that despite his contract ending a set price will be paid at the end of the season regardless of his contract being up as this is the only way i could imagine Utd ever even consider allowing a loan move for the last year of his contract.

Still played 22 games in the LEAGUE season in which the utd scum surpassed the kopites. Somebody must have rated him.
