2018/19 Jordan Pickford

United already have the next Jordan Pickford. His name is Dean Henderson and is currently doing very well on loan at Sheffield United. Last season he spent on loan at Shrewsbury. He is only 21 but is a really very good keeper already. I actually think he is a better prospect than Pickford and you can see he is the full package.

I would not be shocked if United exercised the option they have on De Gea, and then brought Henderson in for the following season. He'll be 23 by then, the same age Pickford was when he debut for us, and older than De Gea when he debut for United.

In the event United did come in with a silly offer for Pickford, then I'd seriously consider it on the basis that we took Henderson the other way.

You're comparing a championship goalkeeper who has never played in the top flight with a keeper who has played in a WC semi final and a hundred odd PL games.

I admit I've only seen Henderson a couple of times, but to suggest he's better than Pickford is quite a big conclusion to take the leap to.

I said I think he's a better prospect Tim. Didn't say he was better. Jordan is well ahead of him at the moment but he's also 3 years older.

I was a big fan of Pickfords well before he joined Everton. This lad, at the same age, is better in my opinion. Doesn't mean he'll develop as well as Pickford has but he's already on the way to. His career path is similar and he just needs a year keeping in the Prem which he'll probably get next year.

He may fall by the wayside Tim, but I reckon in 2/3 years time he'll be the one pushing Pickford for his England place.
