We couldn't do much better than him imo, HOWEVER he needs bollocking from the manager and players.

He carries on making mistakes like that he'll no longer be England's no1 which is what might be needed to get his head out his backside.

He kept us in it and he made a mistake at least he holds his hands up, no pun intended, and didn't blame it on concussion.

He tried to stop a corner, it was a fluke but we move on. He will more then make up for it but when the wound is fresh it still hurts.

He needs to learn from it and he will.
Shaquiri practically passed it into Pickford. We also said (me included) that he would learn from the last time he cost us a derby points.

Literally a downgrade from Joel.

Relegation would be Ashley William's parterning Phil Jagielka with Baines on the left, having support provided by Morgan blinking Schneiderlin.

I see nothing to suggest Pope, Butland or Ryan would do any worse. Ryan in particular, before he ends up at Utd, we should pounce. At the very least, so Pickford has adequate competition and stops making errors.

I agree competition would be a good idea, and Ryan looks the best out of the 3 you mentioned.

However, I’ve seen him make mistakes. I’ve seen Pope not get a game for bloody Burnley all season and seen Butland make several mistakes this season at a lower level.

I’d rather none of the 3 really.

Absolutely this. There’s no getting away from what he did and he needs telling.

And I’m feeling pretty sure he will be told.

That’s just a personality thing. I don’t have any issues with his personality though and certainly don’t see him in the same light as Hart.

Seems a level headed young man to me.
I mean the Joe Hart comparison more of in terms of general clangers and lack of responsibility to mistakes, as opposed to a personality issue ijjy
