Blimey, you really hate him don't you? He claimed balls tonight that he had no right claiming and got them, he made himself huge and was brave against Mandzukic near the end and never stopped instructing his defence. Both goals were preventable but neither of them were preventable by Pickford. Your comment about him being responsible for a period of pressure is as ridiculous as it is petty. You can get back to slagging off his performances for us soon enough. One of Everton and England's best players and has proven it.

I rate him as a keeper, his attitude is spot on, a leader, a perfectionist and ambitious, it’s the ambitious part that worries me, I don’t see him sticking around for more than another season here unless there is a major upturn in our fortunes.

I watched the match tonight at a pub in Cornwall. Everybody in there was in agreement he's been England's best player over the tournament. he's won over both the press and the pundits. At 24, he's also easily the youngest first choice keeper in the competition. Would not be at all surprised if he got selected in the team of the tournament.

Still learning the game. He's going to be a star.
