Of course they will, that's not the issue as I see it. I don't think there's an agenda. I think there's genuine frustration and disappointment and it becomes harder to accept that with him strutting around like he's the best thing that has happened to us. If today's game was about making him confident again I'm not sure it helped. If it wasn't about gaining confidence then obviously he can do what he wants since he has no competition.

It’s less of an agenda now because he’s playing so poorly.

Things like ‘strutting around like he’s the best thing that has happened to us’. That’s mad to me. Because I don’t see that at all.

People go on about his attitude which I find most odd. It’s an agenda. No other player is getting as much. Even Walcott is getting less that Pickford and he can barely kick a ball.

As a keeper and to stay on topic he needs to sort himself out though.

Very much part of the problem (of which we have many) at the moment.
The difference might be that nobody is defending Walcott to the hilt, because they pretty much can't.

Whereas to some, we are blessed to have Pickford and there is no keeper in the world who could do a better job

I’m not seeing too many people defending Pickford other than saying he’s getting it a bit too much.

I still struggle to see who else we’d get in. Not that he’s going anywhere anyway.

It just feels like people are waiting for us to concede (which let’s be honest won’t take long) just to have another go at him.

Well, that's the impression I get. And @Abraders has a good point.

We slaughter Walcott on a regular basis when it's deserved. Why not Pickford as well when he's having a crap series of games?

I would like nothing more than Pickford becoming the best we ever had,and I genuinely hoped and thought so. He's bang average.

If anything I'm waiting for him to actually win us a game so I can praise him for once, but game by game I'm not being given any reason to!

Can’t wait for us to get a new keeper.

Will be very interesting to see people’s thoughts when we inevitably concede goals. I bet on my life whoever it is gets less flack.

Saves a pen vs palace. We won.
I've had this discussion on a page lost further back. He did save a penalty, and a good one v one Vs Bournemouth etc in the past which we went on to win. I have no doubt he affected those games...

However... Pickford has yet to have a game that would have the opposition fans come away saying 'ah it was just one of those days, Pickford was unstoppable' - whereas I find ourselves saying this quite a lot in the past in regards to opposition goalkeepers. How many times has Cech or somebody seemed unbeatable on the day and singlehandedly taken his team to the result?
