You look at de Gea performances today, single handedly keeping the score down up till this point. That’s how we wish Pickford will become one day but I doubt he ever will be that level.

Pickford is young and confident. He's only in his 3rd full season. Remember De Gea's first couple of seasons at UTD? he was very shakey.

I am watching it and de Gea has saved what he should save. Run of the mill saves. Even that chance from ali was poorly executed that De gea even had time to clench fists to punch away despite being close.

They have all been saves that should have been saved hence run of the mill. Everything has been either straight at him or not far enough away from him. No need for full stretch saves therefore poor execution by spurs players as every single one was quite easily savable. No point in trying to make normal saves into great saves just because of who is in goal.

He had a shaky first 6 months that was blown out of proportion because he was under the microscope that was Utd
He's the world's best goalkeeper and playing in a very good United side. Pickford has been solid for us, in 2 seasons where we have been an awful footballing side.

There was a shot from Kane. De Gea had to dive for it. Not particular full stretch but what strikes be is the ability to save and clench hold of the ball firmly in mid air and landing with the ball still firmly in grasp. This is something beyond Pickford. He would have parry it without thinking where the ball lands next.
