We can deny and belittle this Chelsea rumour all we like. The fact is, Courtois is off. They need a top replacement, Pickford is one of the best keepers about and MAYBE available as, like it or not, we can’t compete with Chelsea’s wages and a challenge for a Champions League spot AND we’re a selling club. Hopefully, Schmeichel might interest them, as I find it hard to believe that Leics would pay 12m for a no2. It’s worrying. Been here before, any player that is a massive success here eventually gets sold and even the boyhood Blues end up wanting off as soon as the big clubs flutter their eyelashes. Pickford would be off like a shot if they did come in for him imo, he’s had a taste of the big time and probably wants more. 60-65m and he’s gone. Really hope I’m wrong.
