He's 25, he has 10+ years in the game and is a very good 'keeper. We just need to give him genuine competition and bring in a managerial setup that can actually set a team up to defend. His likelihood for error is significantly higher under Marco Silva because of the amount of chances we allow. Again, 17 attempts Newcastle managed against this side.

Imagine thinking the 37 year old fella who hasn’t saved a shot since Aguero’s penalty in 2016 and is made up to have a job where he’s paid to warm up before games is the answer. Pickford has been garbage but he at the very least gets near shots. Virginia is the only replacement worth considering from now until the end of the season, he is not going to be worse than Stekelenburg.
