I think the player tends to play in goal, not the actual contract.

Or we're rightfully focusing on signing players in positions within the starting XI where we are lacking? Maybe a new keeper will come at the end of the window?
Stekelenburg is far from ideal as a second choice and it raises questions about why we let Robles go (he did want to leave to be fair), but it's certainly not a priority.
I'd be content to allow Stek be Jordan's number two up until January and then for the club to look for an alternative, if it means we bring in other key players!

OK agree with some of that but a two year deal for a dodgy keeper with dodgy knees....
yes Robles wanted to go but surely signing a young potential keeper and getting rid of him was a better option.......
It's a one-year extension because he had a year left.
And no, we don't need to sign a young 'keeper because we've got like three coming through the ranks.
