I honestly think he has real ability but wilts in pressure situations and has poor decision making skills. How you coach that into a person is anyone’s guess, but I think he will be dropped very soon. A real shame as he’s young, skilful and a bit of a character.

Nah. In pressure times that is when the ability shows itself. He's a liability and his head melts when the going gets tough. His fragile ego just can't handle mistakes and he over compensates with the histrionics. No coaching can fix that. The best way to sort it is with a P45.

United have Henderson, so even if they sold De Gea, they wouldn't go after Pickford. Spurs still have Lloris and they have much bigger problems to deal with. Chelsea are stubborn, so they will probably stick with Kepa. We are stuck with him for now.

It's absolutely shocking that we (along with the majority of top clubs) can't produce 1 top keeper every few years.

I think it reflects really badly on the specialist goalkeeping coaches that are hired. It almost seems like an afterthought with clubs. I simply refuse to believe that for the past 30 years we've scouted every single corner of Merseyside, found talented keepers and then not been able to improve them to the level where they are at least able to make the bench and be a number 2
