Not Everton related but a lad I know has just been interviewed for a keeper coaching position at man united.It's absolutely shocking that we (along with the majority of top clubs) can't produce 1 top keeper every few years.
I think it reflects really badly on the specialist goalkeeping coaches that are hired. It almost seems like an afterthought with clubs. I simply refuse to believe that for the past 30 years we've scouted every single corner of Merseyside, found talented keepers and then not been able to improve them to the level where they are at least able to make the bench and be a number 2
