Not awful but needs competition, one thing the club has been woeful at is getting competitive back ups, it’s what ruined Tim Howard’s final couple of seasons and it’s highlighting Pickford’s faults because no one can seemingly be trusted to step in for a couple of games

Get Reina or Romero for a nominal fee as someone mentioned when Henderson is back at Man Utd.

Amazingly, he would not be judged so harshly if he stopped both the howlers and spectacular saves. The Palace game being prime example, if he saved Benteke's goal and conceded the header from which he made a wonderful save then everybody is happy and no critisism comes his way.

The blokes literally saving 50 shots a game their defence is God awful.

And that’s why they’ll go down, doesn’t mean we should sign him. We went down that route last summer signing a relegated club’s goalkeeper and wound up loaning him back without playing him.

We need a competitive keeper from a decent side, your suggestion of Romero would he ideal, hell Henderson would be a good choice if United decide not to keep him or look abroad

As said/put before-his record
Romero : 55 games 35 Clean Sheets 25 goals conceded

You think we're fortunate to have Pickford?
I do.
I think he is a very good goalkeeper who is probably still years away from being at his peak.
I rate him very highly, all keepers make mistakes. De Gea, Loris, Alison, Ederson the better keepers make fewer mistakes. The keepers playing behind solid backlines and organised midfields make fewer again.

Pickford has made mistakes and will make more, as he gains experience they will get less and less.

In my opinion Evertonians are the exact opposite to Liverpool supporters. They believe in their players and want them to do well.

Some Evertonians are happy to criticise their own players are only satisfied when things are going against them.

Who does Pickford compare himself to? Joe Hart. That is VERY telling.

He thinks a career like Hart's is perfectly tolerable.

Well, if he can tolerate it, we certainly cant.

He's appalling on a regular basis for Everton. I have no interest in what this 'kin clown can do for England. He can play blinders or throw the ball in the net, I dont particularly give a flying one. But for us he has been a disaster and we need to get shut.

Pickford in his first season looked really decent, but hasn't really kicked on,
either that's it ,
he isnt going to progress,
he needs some body pushing for his place, or needs a new goalkeeping coach to take him forwards.
Or we get shut,, he isnt steady enough to give the defence any confidence and isnt commanding in his area.
Flinging your legs up behind , while diving looks great on tv but doesn't really add much to the art of goalkeeping.
