With respect, I dont think you realise just how bad he is. Statistically he is the second worst at saving shots, the worst at errors leading to goals, he is average in terms of distribution & he cant concentrate for 90 mins or deal with crosses. Almost any keeper in the PL would be an improvement and I am sure the Don and his network will be able to identify a few from outside the league who could improve.

Look at Dubravka at Newcastle - came in for 2 million I think & he is top drawer

Makes more saves because he gets peppered every week. He went on loan to Newcastle cos his parent club flogged him to anyone who was interested. He's 31. He's a journeyman keeper.

That's ridiculous. Clubs wouldn't bother with scouts if all they were going to find is a player who costs £50m, as better than what you've currently got.

The RS spent £70+million on a keeper with 1 full season in Europe under his belt. Was back up to Arsenal flop Szczęsny.

If our scouts can find a better keeper than Pickford for cheap, I'd embrace it. They wont though.

I dont think fans on here hate our players, we just want them to play well. I'm not sure how bigging him up on here will get him sold, unless you think scouts/managers from ther teams are looking on here to determine how good he is ! In that case lets all head to the Niasse thread quick, lots of praise and we sell for what £50m ?

I have been going to the game for 45 years and support all the players at the match. Doesnt seem to have stopped Jordan diving over the ball instead of stopping it.

Could easily say more mistakes are justified because he’s under pressure every week. Picks makes boneheaded mistakes despite having fewer opportunities to do so.
