I think the third is down to him mate. Why's he going for a cross shot with his feet. Surely he can fall on that ball in that situationCosting us goals with not commanding the six yard box. Yesterday there first goal was a prime example. The second, he didn't react quick enough and it was 'his side' that the goal was scored. The third, not really down to him. He needs to be rested and forced to work on his short comings.
Got to disagree mate a top class keeper wins you points just look across the park and at city and Utd in their hey day and Southall. The list is endlessGoalkeeper is not the position that is stopping us from competing for the top 4. It's probably like 7th on the list of needed improvements
2nd goal down to him. In fairness, it was a pure quality cross in for their 1st.Costing us goals with not commanding the six yard box. Yesterday there first goal was a prime example. Ederson was the last piece for City. Not the catalyst.Got to disagree mate a top class keeper wins you points just look across the park and at city and Utd in their hey day and Southall. The list is endless
Maybe but they had a decent keeper before that as well. The first thing Pep did was to realise that Joe Hart was a disaster waiting to happen and got shut even though all the so called experts where saying he was the best keeper in England blah blah blah. Pickford's had enough chances and dropped enough clangers.Ederson was the last piece for City. Not the catalyst.
I don't agree mate. Build from the back. Look at city when they had bravo in goal. They realised he wasn't good enough and dropped him within 3 months then got a better keeper asap.Goalkeeper is not the position that is stopping us from competing for the top 4. Right because they had all of the other pieces. Dropping Bravo was the last piece. If we want upgrading on Pickford to mean we win the title we should sign Aguero Sterling De Bruyne David Silva and Bernardo first.I don't agree mate. Build from the back. Silva just hasn't got the bottle to make big decisions.
Any English keeper gets overhyped. Courtois openly mocked him for being a flappy midget at the world cup. England's no. 1 means very little. His main competitors are / were Butland and the Burnley keeper. He's not top class and I can't imagine any of the European giants will be forming an orderly queue soon. He is, however, better than our other recent options (Joel). But ultimately maybe not as good as Howard, who was much maligned too. Maybe on a par, open to opinion.
Frankly, he's right for where we are. Not that bad, not that good. Meh.
