I agree, there is little hope of moving him on. Maybe being backup would mean he would look to move on himself next season.
This year was so poor that I’m not sure ther is a recovery from that with us.
You can bet that Utd will have some proper competition for De Gea.

You don't put a £25m England first-choice goalkeeper on the bench to satisfy your sadistic desire to call someone a rubbish player as a fan. You should hope we sell him - now. I don't think he'd mind leaving and I also think we'd get a good fee.

I’m not sure we would have many takers because he’ll be on big wages. He’s been a real disappointment this season and he’ll lose his England no 1 position as a result
 
I'd test United with a bid for Henderson. De Gea still has years ahead of him and Henderson wouldnt want to sit on bench.

I hate the fact that we turn our backs so quickly on players, we want to forge a team that can compete but dont allow time for it. I personally think Pickford is a top keeper that is out of form, no more than that. People dont like his attitude and conduct and he is probably a bit thick but I personally think hes a good keeper out of form.

I hope he returns to form and becomes our player of the year again and doesnt do a Joe Hart.

Mate his form has been atrocious for 2 seasons now. Maybe only for a season and a half since the clanger at Anfield if I'm being generous.

I wanted to give him the benefit of the doubt for as long as possible, but he's never really recovered from the Origi moment IMO. And you simply can't afford to stick by a keeper whos conceding goals so easily and so frequently, it massively hamstrings what you want to do as a team if youre having to make up for keeper errors every other week
 
Clutching at straws alert, maybe if he is dropped by England and he is out of that particular spot light he may pick up form without that pressure?

I'd sell him tomorrow but can't see who would go for him.
