He got fouled lad, therefore your hypotheticals don't matter. He makes enough mistakes without you making them up.

And that was awkward, most keepers would be scrambling. He had it covered and it went over, not sure what there is to moan about with Pickford today.

He didn't get fouled. He's never been commanding or dominant in his area. His height and reach is always crying out for someone to put pressure on him going for high balls. Then he panics and throws his leg at Maguire which was a penalty that we dodged.

And I don't need to moan about him. We all know how much panic he gives the defence.

Hope Carlos not going to be stubborn and keep persisting with him, big problem when you have to overcome a 2 goal deficit before a ball is even kicked every game. See the difference its made at Chelsea when they finally dropped kepa and got a competent keeper in, gone from conceding for fun to having one of the better defensive record

Same for those lot across the park as well. Makes a massive difference to the defence when they can concentrate on their defending without having to think about where the balls going to end up when your keeper inevitably messes up.

He was pushed very, very slightly. Not enough to make him drop a ball as easy as that. It just shows you he must have been thinking about what's going on around him instead of concentrating on what he was doing.

He was pushed, that's all there is to it, the drop is a natural reaction to being pushed where he was.

There are loads of reasons to have a go at Pickford, absolutely tons of them, most of them very valid too, this isn't one of them.

Oh yes it is. Big Nev would never have dropped that ball if he was pushed like a girl. Pickford has got to be stronger than that. There's lots of other sports where you see people catch a ball and there's bodily contact. You don't see people dropping the ball right left and centre. Especially a keeper whose paid vast amounts of money to do it.
