So he made one mistake in one game that led to nothing so that means his kicking isn’t better than Pickford’s? I’ve seen Pickford kick the ball to the opposition about 20 times since the start of the season.
If that’s the standard, then I think the only error that lead to a goal from Pickford in the prem this year was the one against West Brom if I’m not mistaken.
So he leads Meslier 1-0 in kicks that went straight to the opposition that led to a goal? This isn’t helping your point at all.
I don't hate pickford. Just don't think he is a very good keeper. He makes some decent saves. But is terrible at crosses, makes loads of mistakes, let's in some dodgy shots. We can do better than him. Thinks he has been here 4 years and he has gotten worse over that time.

Pickford is clearly a talented and agile goalkeeper but his concentration and consistency have been problems for him for a long time now.
If the club signed a new goalkeeper, what profile of club would be interested in signing Pickford? That is the key in my opinion. There are a lot of very good, young goalkeepers now and the top teams often do not remain patient with those that make mistakes. Chelsea, Man City and Liverpool all moved on Kepa, Hart and Karius very quickly. Ferguson did the same with a number of goalkeepers over the years at Manchester United too.

We’re not a ruthless or ambitious club like all of those though so Pickford will remain first choice for the next 4 years.

Did you mean damming or damning? The writer is a damned idiot anyway. Pickford (who ended van dykks season) is not as bad as he is painted. True, that we need a better keeper than him if we are to progress, but I would not damn (or damm) him, after all he is immortal cos he ended van dykk's season.
