Any particular reason? He's a good shot stopper, catches crosses unlike our current protagonist, and he's a good age.

Howard was excellent for us for 3-4 seasons. Started going downhill about 2011. But people only remember the bad times.

Gerrard and Simonsen would be the most accurate. Simonsen both so as they both broke British Transfer records for GK and they’re both garbage.

Don't want be one of those guys who says told you so to some fans, but after the derby I thought we should of looked at getting rid of him, when we could still get money for him. Goalkeepers make mistakes, however with Pickford these mistakes are the result of his mentality, not just a human error. Know somebody who works at Finch Farm and they say he's the most arrogant player at the club. In some ways the only reason he seemed good, was because he had so many shots to save at Sunderland and there aren't many good goalkeepers about now.

He's up there with your gerrard, mhyre, Simonsen . Howard was like southall compared to pickford

Mhyre was a very good goalkeeper. Did well for us by and large. Doesn't deserve to be in the same bracket as the other lot.

Pickford just aint good enough for me. I have nothing against him and want him to succeed for obvious reasons but he has far too many flaws in his game.

It's nothing to do with arrogance, mentality, or whatever else people want to psychoanalyze him with.

Quite simply his goalkeeping basics are crap. It doesn't require any more delving in to, it's plain to see.

Olsen would have thrown his cap on that. He has been better but has mistakes in him

I've only seen about 5/6 games myself mate. He makes some good saves but then just looks like his decision making is suspect. Theres loads of keepers like him ( Pickford included ) who simply aren't good enough.

Allison is miles ahead of everyone as his mistakes are fee and far between.
Edison is similar though I think he's had a poor 9 months
Arsenal and Villa have solid keepers.
Spurs similar
Schmeichel is solid
Past that you'd probably say Pope is half decent but nit much else. A lot of average keepers

Villa's keeper been pretty decent.

I seem to recall a lengthy stoppage during a game so Myhre could replace a contact lense.

He seemed a solid if unspectacular goalkeeper. I feel that's all this team needs and Olsen deserves the opportunity to see if he can fill the role.

Controversial take here, but at this point you now have to assume Pickford is corrupt, Leicester are a big favourite of the South Asian betting syndicates, goal today was reminiscent of the clear sabotage he did in the Derby, has to be expelled from the squad

All keepers make mistakes, Alison made 3 in the last 2 games. The question is whether they are generally sound.
