Don't want be one of those guys who says told you so to some fans, but after the derby I thought we should of looked at getting rid of him, when we could still get money for him. Goalkeepers make mistakes, however with Pickford these mistakes are the result of his mentality, not just a human error. Know somebody who works at Finch Farm and they say he's the most arrogant player at the club. In some ways the only reason he seemed good, was because he had so many shots to save at Sunderland and there aren't many good goalkeepers about now.

Theres no “told you so”’to me.

i fully know he’s a liability. If I wasn’t willing to let the derby judge my opinion of him, then the final straw for me was Newcastle away where he was trying to get some kind of pantomime villain.

Lucky not to be sent off, then starts doing stupid things and we lose 3-2 having led 2-0.
Goalkeepers make mistakes, I respect that, but this lad doesn’t have the concentration to be a regular starter for a team fighting for Europe.

I’m hoping 2 points dropped is actually many more gained and Ancelotti finally drops him

The worst part for me was the needless corner he gave them which lead to the goal.
That ball wasn’t narrowly going wide, it was going a good yard wide, possibly two. Awful positioning from a less than average keeper

I was thinking at the time he did it, why on earth has he done that? Needless to say we then get punished.

Can't help think the defenders turned around last night on 67mins and went ffs, not again.
Been said a million times now. He makes everyone else nervous.

It was the same in early 2000s.
It felt like Paul Gerrard used to let some long range effort in on a weekly basis could never, ever get down to his posts.
the only difference is we’re not battling relegation now and we’ve building a strong, reliable defence, so he needs to be sent packing because their hard work can’t be given up for his pantomime garbage.

Seriously though when is this crap gonna end with him? We are still staying the same things we were saying 3 years ago about him. The lad is just a massive liability. If he was an outfield player he’d have been run out of town a long time ago. He’s not good enough. Imagine he pulled something like that off in a cup final? Our defenders have ZERO confidence in him, you can see that.

I dont care what anyone says Pickford is clearly a very 'special' goalkeeper.
Yes he gave away the corner but that amazing save was absoloutely necessary as the ball was flying into the top corner. Then he dealt with the ball into the box like a graceful gazelle with a majestic leap that resembled a ballerina getting a really strong fist onto the ball which cleared the danger for miles.
His magnum opus was definately thwarted by bad luck and the fact that tielemans 864mph shot hit seventeen divots on the way through and thats why he nearly punched one of them out of frustration for this misfortune.

Frustrations always get the best of us after games, I’m this first to admit that I can/do easily jump on the players back after defeats/games I feel we could have won, but honestly I don’t regret one thing I’ve said about Pickford here, the lad brings shame on this club, he’s terrible.

Pickford deserves it. On TS someone just said, he doesn't get picked on, his mistakes get pointed out and he makes too many. pretty much sums it up.

He’s a very poor keeper IMO. One of the weak links in the team.

Jordan needs some time in the reserves, away from the limelight and scrutiny, to get back to basics of goalkeeping.

I’m not even a footballer mate but I reckon even I could teach him a thing or two about goalkeeping. I don’t think the lad ever played ‘catch’ in his youth days lol

He might have a game out, then he will be back. I think Carlos likes him and who are we to argue with Carlos. Pickford problem is he gets caught in the moment, gets to excited them all goes wrong. Also he will get extra stick anyway being England’s number one. some of his goalkeeping is excellent , obviously the mistakes mask that. He had been much better lately fans on here can moan as much as they like, but we will be seeing a lot more of Pickford this season that is for sure.
