When was the last time someone said this is why he is Englands number 1?
He has over 373 pages on here with comments, a good 300 will be talking about his mistakes, he is without doubt the worse Everton goalkeeper i have ever seen ( Dave Lawson)
He is another player we need to ship out
Everytime he plays its all about him
 
How many points has he cost us this season? We cannot aspire to be in the top 4 with a gk that flaps, panics and makes mistakes. A top class keeper has to be a priority in the summer.

Allison is miles ahead of everyone as his mistakes are fee and far between.
Edison is similar though I think he's had a poor 9 months
Arsenal and Villa have solid keepers.

Schmeichel is solid
Past that you'd probably say Pope is half decent but nit much else. A lot of average keepers

We don’t notice other keeper’s mistakes which is part of the problem. They’re all prone to dropping clangers. Alissom tried to cruyff turn against Leicester and gave a goal away. It’s fine when you’re already winning though. Martinez let one in that was right at him the other week. Pope against United was shocking, so was Areola.

The difference for me is that other keepers when they’re not dropping the occasional clanged look solid. Pickford is always flying about the goal. Any sort of shot on target ha him punching himself around to make a save. He’s always on the floor, or doing a crazy punch, or hurtling across goal for no reason. Olsen just stands in the middle of the goal, catches balls, and makes normal saves look routine. I’m sure he has a clanger in him as well, he almost got caught on the ball against Rochdale trying to overplay, but the rest of the time he looks calm. That’s all I want from a goalkeeper, but Pickford is like a ticking time bomb.

We’re not going to be going very far then are we?

This isn’t anything to do about England for me, personally. It’s about a goalkeeper making critical mistakes in games on a regular basis, and subsequently damaging our chances of Europe.
 

You could see it coming....when albrighton had the shot down his throat you could see him chatting wham with his chest out, the way he hasn't been doing the last few weeks.
I hadn't been nervous of him in goal the last few weeks but could just tell he was back to his old tricks last night and he didn't disappoint....his head clearly want there
 
He has the wrong character for a top goalkeeper as well as not enough ability. We don't need a mouthy, flashy keeper. Get Olsen in for the rest of the season, and get Brands busy finding a new goalie who can make regulation saves, catch crosses and has decent distribution.

Richard Wright was easily worse, in my opinion, Gerrard on par (also had one(ish) decent season before the form dropped off a cliff)

To be fair, this is the one thing he still has.

I agree with the character part, this was very evident in the debacle that was the Newcastle game when his head went and he became extremely unprofessional.

I wasn't saying Pickford doesn't have decent distribution, it's the one thing he does have!

Im sorry, but that’s unforgivable that. Scratch any hope of Champions League and probably Europa if we’re keeping him between the sticks. How many games has he cost us in the last 18 months?

Prior to the game I’d have been happy with a point, but feels like a huge two points dropped there.
Newcastle will be absolutely massive and I hope Olsen is MOM.

Yeah they are like buses with Pickford. He does something ridiculous and he knows it that makes him more nervous and he just loses it. If I was the opposition and start seeing him in flap mode I'd be belting shots into him every opportunity or bad crosses directly at him.
