He’s genuinely been alright for the most part this season, the Leicester equaliser, a goal at home to Brighton and the derby

There’s 3 games off the top of your head when he’s had an absolute stinker. There are more mistakes, many of which went unpunished (fortunately for us and him).

That’s absolutely not “genuinely alright” in my book.

next 4 matches ....interesting choices for Carlo re: Olsen / Pickford...could see him alternating if Pickfords not out injured....Pickford ( utd / Fulham ) Olsen ( Spurs / RS ) Cant imagine Pickford plays at Anfield

I would like him to do that, just dont want Pickford playing against Spurs, its too big a game, but thats what worries me, Carlo might think he needs his number one keeper in the bigger games

In the context of keepers in the league this season id say it is, could probably name 2 regular keepers in the league who haven’t had 2/3 bad games this season. Allison, Lloris, De Gea, Pope, Patricio have all had mistakes. Which incidents went unpunished apart from the derby? They’re off my head because it’s the only howlers he’s had, and agree it’s still too many howlers for us but just saying I thought he was better up until the Leicester game. He lets his emotions go too wild, made the first error v Leicester (clearing it for the corner), which led to the second (flapping at the cross), which led to the goal. Like me when I was 17 and stalled the car in driving lessons, head would fall off for about 5 minutes after and we can’t afford that to happen, just don’t think it’s happened as much this season.

Not saying he’s the answer and he’s got his obvious flaws, Olsen should start but up until the Leicester game I felt he had reacted well after the derby game considered everything that got thrown at him which was way over the top.

By alright I mean ‘okay’, he’s got too many flaws to ever be better than okay but I look around the league and the standard of keeping seems to be poorer as a whole so just meant it in relation to a lot of other teams.

Olsen has the shirt now, and it should remain his until he gives Carlo a reason to even consider dropping him. On current form he’s our best keeper, it’s that simple for me.

Don't like any of our players being out injured, so wishing Jordan Pickford a speedy recovery. However, I'm hoping that if Olsen puts in a couple of decent performances Carlo Ancelotti will have the backbone to continue with him and make Pickford fight to get his place back. But if Pickford just gets his place back regardless... then what's the point?

The 1st 3 i thought is what would happen if both fit what you say for me, this was before the Leeds game that i expected Olsen to play if Pickford was fit or not, and was half thinking would he put Olsen in for the Derby as would not surprise me if they target Pickford with fouls due to you know what, saying that going by Caro's comments i dont think Pickford will be ok for saturday

Leon Osman on Talk Sport just now, talking about the keeper, more or less said Olsen should keep the shirt, without actually saying drop Pickford.
Said if a player comes in and does well he deserved to stay in regardless of who is the number one player, then went onto say how well Olsen has done haha

I don't normally advocate violence but its about time that lot had a taste of their own medicine.

How sad, typical though ignored the unpunished fouls by VVD before his coming together with Pickers. LOkk at previous games VVD has always got away with a lot of bad play.

The way he sounded after the Leeds game, it never sounded like Pickford would be back for this man utd game, and as said a few days ago rumours were he was out 5 weeks, but doubt its that long
