regardless of the pen, he did great. if he didn't foul him, it's a goal. at least he bought himself a chance to save a pen with no card.

In fairness to Pickford, that's the crux of it. He's certainly shown signs of improvement in his last three or four appearances so we can give him a break on the penalty.

What do people expect him to do with the penalty. If he doesn’t come out they score and he’s blasted. All keepers have given them type away

Honestly, I just don't think that giving him a break is in the cards even, as not much else he could've done there. Empty net if he lets the guy go past.

Overall, a really great string of performances from him over the last few games. If he keeps this up for the rest of the season, we don't need to look for a GK.

MoTM tonight. Shame about the pen and the deflected OG. He’s been much better lately.

Absolutely brilliant there.

Unlucky with the pen, it's a fantastic through ball and I'd rather he made a definite call than got caught in no-man's land or bottled it. They happen all the time those ones and are tough on the keeper.

It's encouraging that he looks a little more mentally stable out there. Starting to see the best of him again.

Really unlucky for the penalty there. A split second before, he wins that ball.

Made some really good saves again today and that’s 4 really good performances on run.
I guess that’s what Ancelotti sees in him.
