Let's not rewrite history here, he was genuinely very poor for a prolonged period of time. He's been good over the last couple of months, and if he can maintain this level then we have nothing to worry about. This wasn't a little dip in form that he had though, he was rubbish for about 2 years. This is genuinely the best run of form he's ever had in my opinion, he currently just looks like a normal keeper who does the basics well, which he never really has before.

He was comfortably bottom 3 keeper for multiple seasons, that’s why his recent form must be treated with caution, baby hart lurks within
 
loads of keepers seem to punch these days, very rare to see keepers try and catch everything, possibly the way gk coaching has changed
True, I get it when the ball's coming in fast as modern balls are light and slippery but when a looping cross comes in I just don't understand punching. It often leads to another attack from the opposition, whereas if you catch it your team is in possession and you can build your own attack. Plus, a keeper cleaning out a bunch of players whilst claiming a high ball is a glorious sight!
