I actually like him again and I haven’t done for what feels like ages. Was desperate for a new keeper last summer but he’s turned it around.

I honestly feel like the corrections he's made in his game render the problems unlikely to return. He's sure-handed catching the ball, so he's doing that rather than palming it and he's not coughing bad rebounds. He's commanding his box, rather than merely reacting.
Like a relief pitcher in baseball, a goalie's confidence is rarely more than a bad performance on the biggest stage away from collapse, but if they've been through a previous crisis of confidence and come out of it they tend not to lay eggs in those games.

Yep I’d be amazed if he wasn’t starting at the euros the way all the other English keepers finished the season compared to him,
He’s done well to keep the gloves from one tournament to the next. Hart obviously did this previously but before that it was bouncing around between Green James Robinson after Seaman. If Pickford is also selected for the World Cup next year he’ll be in extremely rarefied company for England goalkeepers.

I believe if he’s still first choice by Qatar next November (assuming England qualify) he’ll be the first England keeper to be starting keeper in 3 consecutive tournaments since David Seaman, who actually featured in 4 consecutive (Euro 96, 98 World Cup, Euro 2000 and 02 World Cup)

it’s still an amazing achievement though. Plus whilst his competition remains Henderson Pope and Ramsdale he’ll be comfortably in for another one unless a prodigy England goalkeeper comes from nowhere in the next two years.

What I find a bit frustrating is people go on about Henderson like he's a younger option than Pickford. He's 3 years younger than him. He's not going to massively improve either. It's a straight shoot out and I haven't seen enough from Henderson to show me he can displace the man in possession. If he holds down a place for United and they start challenging for leagues then that is a different scenario. It's not happened yet though.
