I reckon that’s as commanding appearance as I’ve ever seen from Pickford last night.

Made the saves he needed to, excellent distribution with both feet, good decision making on when to come for crosses, and when he did come for them - got a strong hand every time.

Well in Pickford.

Tell you what has gone. When making a save no more jumping up fist pumping and bouncing around like a space hopper. Just calmly gets on with it now. Brought up on neville southall pulling off save after save and just shrugging it off like yeah so what. Get on with the game.
Whoever or whatever they've done with him behind the scenes your work is paying off.
May have saved us a headache aswell as the pickford before was 100% not what we needed.

I’ve not read back so might be covering old ground but did anyone notice how desperate the commentators were to make out he was dodgy?

He made a cracking low save with his right hand and they spent minutes going on about how it went to a dangerous area and he always does that - he pushed it away and past the Scottish attacker! If someone passes a ball past an opposition player do the commentary team lose their mind that if the defender was standing somewhere else they may have intercepted it?

There was also another moment where one of the CBs passed back to Pickford and put him under pressure so he adjusted his feet and got the ball clear and the commentator interrupted a story for McCoist to say something like ‘Pickford nearly got his feet in a muddle there’ - he didn’t though, he adjusted so he could clear it long in his stronger left foot.

All this stuff when he makes a save and it may go to were it goes is just for me very stupid and silly, when you make a save its not like he's pushing it back into the danger zone on purpose, the ball will go to were it goes and its that simple-and that goes for all keepers

Aye, I noticed that.

There was one in the Croatia game when somebody (Trippier?) woefully underhit a backpass, meaning Pickford had to rush out to clear. The commentator said "it made Pickford panic", rather than pointing out he'd efficiently cleared up someone else's mess.

Remember that too! Right footed player at left back where he’s never played (to my knowledge anyway) struggling to sort his feet and playing a poor ball back to the keeper - surely this issue is on Southgate? - nope, highlight that Pickford rushed out and looked panicked. Of course he looked in a panic he had to sprint away from goal to clear a crap pass!

Played LB 4 times in his entire career.

Southgate is either a genius or an idiot, I know which one I'm swaying towards.
