Pathetic this forum sometimes. He had a brilliant second half of last season and was great in the Euros (someone blaming him for Italy’s goal after he made an incredible reflex save off the first effort and was unlucky it came back off the post straight to their player???) and now people are crying because he wasn’t fully switched on in a friendly match.

I couldn’t give a toss about the score in a friendly match whoever it’s against who cares? If he drops a clanger against Southampton next week I’ll care a lot but right now I’m right behind him.

I mean, it's Digne's error.

All he had to do was shield it and Pickford would've collected. Diving headering it at him when he's sprinting out to collect isn't gonna make it easy for a player whos playing his first game of preseason.

Everyone's so quick to stick the boot in man, he's been flawless for us since the Derby.

Today he was poor.
Like him or loathe him he isn’t our biggest issue, far from it. And he definitely isn’t the reason we get overrun in midfield, lack creativity, play badly and lose games.

The way people go on in here you’d think he’s committed murder let alone be at fault for losing a fixture!!

There are some posters on here who for some reason conduct a campaign of hatred against certain players.

They are never posting when said players have good or even excellent performances but come out from under their rocks as soon as their favourite player to hate makes a mistake.
