Yeah exactly. Got great respect for Nev but cannot agree with him about this. I will always support someone who is going through a bad patch but not when that bad patch has gone on for a couple of seasons and it has become quite obvious that it is not a bad patch at all, he is just not good enough. Yes he can pull off a worldy and can put a decent innings in for his country because it is only the odd game every now and then but he has a terrible attitude and his head is that far up his own ass that there are just as many times where he does the complete opposite and not only gifts the opposition with undeserved goals but an injection of confidence. He will cost us games this season, i have no doubt about it.

Carlo thinks so too by the looks of it as the rumours seem to be intensifying about us looking for another keeper. Lets hope we get one and he doesn't have to be a world beater, just decent and consistent will do for me.

Not sure I get the whole being on his back thing, there have been no fans in the ground for months and he is still messing up. Unless he is reading GOT on his phone when the ball is at the other end of the pitch I don't see what difference it really makes.

Yeah i get all that.
Bottom line is we dont have a hope in hells chance of doing anything with a clumsy keeper. Show me a side that ever has. The fact he's not doing it on purpose is irrelevant.
Never been a fan since day 1 tbh. Always stated ive never felt comfortable with him but also said there were possibly other priorities to sort first. Now, i think he is the biggest weakness.
This is now a very big call and could shape our season.

He won player of the yar and young player of the year for 2017-2018 season. He was not bad. He was given a five year contract based on the performances.He was very good field England at the World Cup as well. It is revisionist to suggest he was poor. However he has declined alarmingly since, I think beginning with the catastrophe at Anfield.

Look up his stats, he’s been leaking goals through all of his pro career. Him getting awards by the club only shows how worthless they are. He got a new contract based on his performances for the English national team, not for Everton, a contract im sure the club is now regretting as he’s clearly not worth what he’s being paid.

actually, compare his stats with Tim Howards. He wasnt a world class keeper either, but he leaked way less goals.

I we both agree he’s not up to it now.

Howard usually made a couple of goal costing errors per season (worse towards the end) and was a bit duff on crosses I to the box. But he was a waaay more consistent performer for us.
 

He's been given too many chances it's not like we've turned on him after one mistake, It's been a slow build up and I mean yesterday he put us under pressure that wasn't even there.
That was probably the last straw for Carlo even if he starts on Saturday I think he'll be booted/dropped in the summer unless we pull Romero off.
