He's been vocal about tearing his defenders a new one when they're not sorted, which is as it should be. Can't remember when it was, but yesterday, he also had a laugh with them. Not one of his nervous laughs, like "I just screwed up," but a "hey fellas, that was great" laugh.

I agree, he's growing into the job.

There will be a howler or a clanger or a moment of lost composure, can't get through 38 games plus cup ties without one. Let's see how he does when that happens.

If he could, he would. That's one of the basics that he will work on almost every training session.

When you can push the ball to safety it usually means that you are in control of the save but not taking the risk of holding on. The saves that come back into play are saves that they have no control and are grateful they can just get to it.
