A save is a save for me, i never get why people when a save is made moan about it been "Saved" to the oppo, like its done on purpose. The ball lands where ever it does, its not like its been saved to the oppo on purpose though loads make it out like that

It's high standards but players talk about Southall practising the distance he put on his saves, making sure he cleared the area. He played well though yesterday, the biggest improvement for me is the link between him and his defence has grown

In the last few weeks alone, Pope has been sent off for handling a ball outside his area after going for an Ndombele type header on the floor against Salah of all people. He also was extremely lucky to escape a red for Wolves for just clattering an attacker in the area. Ramsdale meanwhile got beaten by a shot from the halfway line to send his team out of Europe.

Can you imagine the reaction on here if Pickford did that? There’s people complaining about successful saves he made. Southgate sees one keeper performing well regularly who raises his game for the big occasions, and he sees two other keepers all over the show recently who wilt in big moments. Absolute no brainer. It will be a 4th successive tournament for Pickford as England number 1 putting him up there with Banks and Shilton. Tragic for his haters.
