I fear for his England place when Southgate gets the boot , if he's still playing for us.
Think Southgate would be stupid not to at least carry on to the next euro. That England team will only get better and realistically they have a good chance of winning the euro.

I’m not saying anything about his managerial abilities. Just this squad of players are maturing and will be interesting how several players will progress. Either way I put Everton first and for me Pickford is the best English keeper out there. Maybe someone will come along in next few years. Regarding your last point about saka I have to agree, I want impressed with a few games in World Cup but that game he was are main threat. The left back for France remained me of that time Coleman had that game against bolaise.

It’s possible Pickford money spent carefully further up the pitch might get us more points overall.
The issue is that the “Giroud type” in Everton-land is Chris Wood, would still cost £70mill, and would be a 21 year contract not 21 games.
