Were they giving him stick?I lasted about 30 seconds with BBC before realising it was Shearer. ITV did a good job IMO, no bad words about Pickford. Mostly praise.

Can you show your working out?He probably could have done a bit better with the goal but it's slim pickings now in terms of trying to find a mistake in his keeping. The fault of the goal was on Rice (who has had a very poor tournament).
Good job we dont care then. They can suck it up....with the saves he made that weren't praised.Except Geordies, Kopites and Gooners, the former two in particularly revelling in the sight of JP in bits at the end
That's GOT for you. He’s actually taller than Jan Sommer the Swiss keeper who has had a good reputation throughout his career. The kopite media hate him being England’s number 1 and always will, hence making all this stuff up about height, short arms, and his temperament. The facts are that for Everton and England the bigger the game the better he plays. He’s also reduced the number of errors he makes to a miniscule amount. Thats why he’s such a good tournament keeper and why Southgate has never been tempted to go for Pope or Ramsdale who make error after error the bigger the game gets.
We’ve seen Allison Courtois Ederson make horrible errors on the ball in big CL games. Lloris in the world cup final. People can criticise Pickford all they want but he just doesn’t make those errors. Seeing Green v USA, Seaman v Brazil, Carson v Croatia, Hart v Wales and Iceland. Pickford just hasn’t made those high profile errors.
The weird hatred of him by some is bizarre and Evertonians who buy into it are even weirder.
Even better, nothing for GOT fans to get on his back about.Just so glad there was nothing for opposing fans to get on his back about.
Yeah but not Clemence obvs. Best keeper ever. Respect.2nd to last friendly where he miskicked it and they scored.
Best keeper England have had in our lifetime.
Craps all over Shilton, Seaman, Robinson, James and whatever other no mark has been in goal.
That's because you haven't got a clue,I give him a lot of crap but he did damn well today
Close between him and Stones. They couldn't carry Walker (basic positional errors for both goals) and Guehi - switched off and let his man get goal side for the winning goal.
It was relatively close to him and with a stronger hand it could have been kept out. Not sure why you're being so defensive as I did also point out that it was Rice who was at fault for the goal and not him. Being a bit stronger in your keeping doesn't mean you've made a mistake or you're at fault. He's not the messiah, he still slips up or could do things better at times, but he's generally now a very strong shot stopper and consistently one of the best players for Everton and England. Can you show your working out?

Mamardashvili will be the next big thing but he will go to a bigger and better club than us unfortunately.Ive mentioned them a number of times as a potential replacement for Pickford if he was sold...
...what do you think of Mamardashvili? I also like Verbuggen.
Banks the greatest from this Irish view. I posted in another thread about being Gordon West whenever I was in goal for '3 and In' but I forgot I used alternate as Banks as well. He was brilliant.Yeah but not Clemence obvs. Best keeper ever. Respect.
The only keeper i ever saw who was at Southall's level was Gordon Banks, it would be very difficult to pick the better keeper between them.Had some ballbag in work telling me Shilton was a class above Southall a couple of years ago.
Strange lad.
Never seen Banks play but my Dad said he was brilliant and was up there with Southall. The only keeper i ever saw who was at Southall's level was Gordon Banks, it would be very difficult to pick the better keeper between them.
