Always give him credit mate, and I'll always criticise him as well when it warrants it. I think he gets a lot of credit on here bar a couple of people.

Clean sheets matter to him and that's a really important trait because it feeds through to the rest of the defence.

No surprise though that clean sheets start happening with uncanny regularity when Branthwaite is in the side.

I was thinking this earlier when watching him warm up. The alternative is that if you love goalkeeping and making saves then better to play in a team where you do more of it.

I've always thought that when considering international selection, if Pickford, Tarks and Branflakes can have one of th ebest defensive records in the league with the utter dross that is in front of them, they deserve more credit that a centre half who spends most of the game playing unpressured passes across the back line
