Great signing. Huge amount of potential and is already one of the better keepers in the league.

Expensive, but in context he's very young for a goalkeeper and if it doesn't work out he'll have good sell on value.

There's a certain bracket of players that we have to buy in (the best young talent) to be able to close the gap. The likes of Pickford and Sandro are the right players to go for.

Not convinced as I haven't seen enough. But for 20 plus add ons(which is what the fee is), I welcome him and get behind him to improve as hopefully our long term number one!

Spot on mate. We can't get the finished articles becsuse they all go to the top sides so we've got to get the ones with potential. Lukaku was a massive outlay at 28m ( when we all thought he would cost about 18m ) but look at how much he's going to fetch.

We've got to get the type of player who have great potential and aren't the finished article YET

100% mate. There's stacks of talented young players out there and if we've got cash but can't afford established players, this is the right way to invest.

Exactly mate because if it doesn't work out then we can move them on and get out money back and then some.

I don't want to see someone like Pickford signed by City or Utd knowing we could have had him and thinking "if only we took a punt 9n him when we had the chance".

Players like him will get us to where we want to be imo

Exactly, look at the state of De Gea when he came over here compared to now. He was lightweight, prone to mistakes and scared of his own defenders shadows. Now look at him, one of the top keepers in the world.

No idea on our budget and I'm not.

The point was that even though it's not our own money we're spending, the price for any player we buy is going to affect the amount available for other players. So wether you rate Pickford or not, it's understandable that some people might worry about the fee if they're not sold on him, or just don't think he's worth that much.
