Robles literally gave up trying against Arsenal in the last game of last season.

He's doesn't warrant any discretion.

I've genuinely thought Baines has been finished for 2-3 seasons mate.

He pretty much went a whole year without even putting a cross in, every time he does now I'm in pure shock.

I honestly don't see him performing worse this year to last, as he was finished in both for me.

Baines WAS finished last year, at least in the second half. Still just as bad and, yet, all the mistakes Pickford makes is brushed under the rug as he is a youngin. He's been good but he's made some mistakes that Robles would have been vilified for.

?????????? He didn't even play at Atalanta, single handedly stopped us conceding double figures against Arsenal and did nothing wrong against Chelsea. Did nothing wrong against Spurs either.

Pickford is better than Robles, end of tbhwy.

The defence last year wasn't that great, Joel stopped some silly score lines last season, but obviously he's not a young Englishman that we overpaid for so

Fair doos mate, my bad with the atlanta shout.

I disagree with the rest though mate. His performances in those situations where we are getting battered are exactly the same, but pickford is not getting even an ounce of the criticism that Robles got.

Yes he is getting criticised, look how many people are on here saying Joel Robles of all people is better than him. It's going to be an absolute hoot going back through this thread in 2-3 years time when Pickford is England number 1 and Robles is seeing his career out at a middling Spanish 2nd division side.
