He lacks experience and will only improve as well.
He has been behind a shocking defence which is constantly being changed.
I think that some are being far too harsh on the lad.
He was the least of our problems yesterday.

Walcott (who I got very wrong)
Holgate
Niasse sometimes

Among others. Davies and DCL you're right, they are terrible. And Pickford is a goalkeeper with abysmal distribution who concedes a lot of goals, I mean, that's indisputable isn't it?!?

Yesterday the TV showed a stat that he has the 3rd highest number of saves on the PL this season.
That would suggest that the defence isn't doing its job; that we're as high as we are must in part be to him over performing.
His distribution might be poor but who is he having to distribute to. In some of the games I've seen (I'm thinking WBA in particular) players were hiding and running away from the ball.
