I like the way he is vocal and gives the outfield players a bit of stick. There are things he can improve on of course but he has been one of the very few positives of this season. There was a moment yesterday when Swansea sliced through us for the umpteenth time and the close up of his face told a story. He seemed about to rollick the players in front of him when it was clear he thought to himself where do I start???? Forwards who can't hold it up? Attacking midfield who lose it cheaply? Defensive midfield who who could not tackle a bowl of rice pudding or who run like they are playing with lead in their boots? Or statuesque central defenders who are just too slow to block the shot...... He just sort of stopped before he got the rant under way and played on with a shake of the head. Reminded me a bit of Big Nev's reaction to some of the defending in early 90s. Hope his agent's phone is off in the summer....

I remember one Wimbledon match where Big Nev's language was, shall we say, a bit blue. I like shouty goalkeepers, although Hart overdoes it. Robles is very loud as well. Howard was too quiet.

It must be a bit weird for our ancient defence being bollocked by a 24 year old, though.
 
Well done to him in this complete shower of a season for maintaining some sort of standard of performance. Has to be England number 1 but as the tournament draws nearer the media will push for Butland and Hart to be 1 and 2.

Hahaha, yep I guess I came off the fence a bit there, mate!! I am really frustrated with Allardyce and don't think he is part of the way forward for the club but I am not going to absolve the players from individual responsibility to keep switched on, win individual duels and pass accurately to a team mate all of which has been in short supply this season. A bit of adversity and they just give up. That said set up, tactics and motivation are the manager's areas and they have been rubbish. I would hate to be a midfielder or forward in this team.
