Ermm...

You think we're signing an ex-youngster with a drug problem who has since played at league one level to make up numbers when we sell players?

Really?

Mate I use to be an addict myself, can only speak from my own experience's but myself was to blame and I had ruined my life in many ways.
It is a long road to recover and nobody should do it alone but I have no sympathy from a millionaire squeezing money from our club.

Not sure he's a millionaire or squeezing money from the club. I don't know the details totally, but we clearly want to help somebody who lost his way. I can't see anything wrong with that whatsoever.

I wish him the best and want him to be clean, just think the club shouldn't get involved unless it's EITC. Why not pay for his coaching badges and allow him to learn and teach people at non professional level? and if he does well over 5 years give him a go at u18s and work way up.

I'd rather be crying at Wembley watching us win the FA Cup for the fourth time on tbe run, than give this lout a contract.

Do you reckon they held a board meeting about deciding between winning four FA cups or giving Baxter a contract?

Honestly some of the stuff in this thread is hilarious

This just shows the type of club we are - one with morales. I'm very proud of Everton for looking after somebody who clearly couldn't deal with the highs of being 'the next big thing' or just a good footballer in the spot light.

Once again, our class and values shine through in a financially cut throat driven industry.
Andy likes this.

I hope if I ever lose my job because I've been done doing lines and subsequently lose my home, car, etc that Everton will bail me out and pay my debt because I'm ONE OF US.

I've got my little gold loyalty badge and everything. That qualifies me, doesn't it?

'One of us' ha.. sounds like something Liverpool fans would say.

You're a Professional Footballer by trade then lad? You did your time in the Everton academy? No. So why would they want you if you asked? I'm not saying what you think I'm saying. No matter what you think of me or any previous post I've ever made, I'm no Redshite.
