Whilst Barton is an odious individual, lets be honest the fella has a point regarding pundits in the game. Punditry in football is a tick box exercise in which you must be either an ex RS player, black or female. I think it reflects on the current society we live in that jobs are given on the basis of a questionaire rather than meritocracy. Its not what you know its who you know comes to mind.

Eni Aluko, Garth Crooks, Jamie Redknapp - completely clueless yet all given well paid positions solely because they fit one of the above criteria.

Bartons problem is he isn't a very educated individual so the valid points he makes he does so in a brash, unsavoury manner that makes it easier for the woke mob to make an example out of him.

There is no connection between lacking education and having a brash unsavoury manner. Some of the obnoxious insulting attacks he makes online are the twitter version of the cigar stubbing of the apprentice ....or the assault in Lord Street that put him inside. Finding him an offensive eejit doesnt make anyone "woke".
