I’ve noticed a trend lately.
Stupid people with nothing good going for them love a hero to look up to. Jordan Peterson, Andrew Tate, Russel Brand, Joey Barton, Elon Musk, Tommy Robinson etc. have all amassed a following of the exact same thick as muck ‘school of hard knocks’ degenerates whose ears prick up as soon as one of these bigot whistles play their tune. It’s no surprise to see Joey’s follow count has increased with the more deplorable things he says.
The world is very simple in their tiny minds. They love the idea that complicated issues in society can be sorted out over a pint and written on the back of a cigarette packet.
“Simple as, nuff said”.
They always look to the loud knob heads because it’s all they can identify with to justify their discriminatory views and their school bully like approach. It's no coincidence that people who have seen a bit of the world beyond the town they grew up in, and maybe actually tried to learn a bit are far less likely to look up to these ‘heroes’, and have the ability to critically think and not just follow their childish emotional mind to the ones that shout the loudest.
I’ll never forget the 40 odd year old builder who I worked with last year. He loved every single one of these grifters, yet wouldn’t wear a seatbelt, denied climate change was a thing and became quite aggressive when questioned, thought Boris was a good Prime Minister, and was an advocate for private health care. His favourite topic of conversation was school and the fights he used to have lol
It blew my mind that these people actually exist and aren’t just a caricature, and they can vote ffs.
That turned in to a bit of a rant, but it felt quite good so I just kept going. Cheers, everyone.
