I think there is a need for a more educated outlook on the game on TV and I agree with @Bohemian Toffee that there is a distinct lack of it compared to other sports.

I also said there was a requirement to be interesting and entertaining though. At the moment it is largely big names coming from Sky clubs who engage in largely banal tribal banter.

Maybe that's what the public wants but it holds no interest for me, I haven't watched a build up or half time chat for years.

My point was really just that the best people should be in the role regardless of gender or colour. If that means annoying some people with women on every week then so be it. However if the best people are all white males then the same is true.

Yeah I agree with this. We have such a dumbed down product (the analysis that is), it's untrue. IMO, the only people who give the more educated analysis is Neville, Carney, Aluko, and Nevin, although I don't think Aluko speaks particularly well - nerves, maybe and Nevin is seemingly radio only.

But I think a big majority of TV viewers want Keane - who despite the game and what has happened, it's all 'passion' and 'desire' (or lack of). Every. Single. Game.

I’ve met far too many Joey Barton type characters over the years, particularly on site. They’re all the exact same.

There’s a section of scouse lads who have to fill every room they enter with their over the top fake smile they copied from the Joker in Batman.

You’re right, all he ever talks about is passion and professionalism and pride etc etc. hasn’t a clue about the modern game which is a different sport to the one he played 20+ years ago. His failed coaching record speaks for itself. An absolute narcissist and spoofer.

Just get it on ITV/terrestrial TV.

Don't have any pundits on ridiculous money and just show the game. Fund it with 15 minutes of ads at half time and the fact that they aren't over paying people to talk about what we can see for ourselves.

It's usually a 4 kopite: 1 other ratio anyway.
