Distinctly possible. However, without King this would be our ONLY option.

With King we now have some alternatives:

LW: Richarlison, ST: King
LW: Bernard, ST: King
LW: King, ST: Richarlison
LW: King, ST: Calvert-Lewin

He's positionally more versatile than Tosun, and has more pace. We have better depth and more flexibility now than before Tosun left.
We haven't had a full strength squad since the Derby so be interesting to see if we can be as quality as we were in thr early games

Never been a big fan and was originally against signing him this window. However, given the options, I'm happy with a short term deal and I'll give him my full support whenever he dons the blue shirt.

I've said in the squad thread that we now have a better balanced squad than we did at the start of the window, which has to be viewed as a positive, albeit a minor one. He certainly offers more that Tosun as a replacement for DCL and offers more goal threat than Iwobi on the right of a more tradition front 3.

People have oft spoke of his fantastic pace on here, which is something I've not noticed in the past. But if true, he could prove to be a big asset for the second half of the season. If he does well an earns himself an extension to the 6 month contract, then I'll hold my hands up. Assuming we get European football next year we'll need a bigger squad anyway.
Also this window takes away the headache for Carlo of having lots of players who dont make the matchday squad. Carlo is a man-manager and doesnt need grumpy kids and has beens lurking around training lowering the tone.

I think it says a lot for him, hat he's taken that 6 month deal and backed himself to get a permanent one. Could have gone to Fulham for probably more money and a longer contract, or could have sat it out to the summer and potentially got a bigger deal. So a big positive that really.

Taking a look at Bournemouth fans in the comments, they think he's a great player on his day but those days weren't often enough for them

Tbf I got that vibe when watching him celebrate goals, I felt like he wasn't as pumped as id expected him to be. May be a momentum player

I'm happy with the signing.

I thought we should've been looking at him the pre-season we failed to get Giroud as a backup plan. He actually seemed better suited to the style of football Koeman said he wanted to play - not that his word meant anything.

He'll bring us more pace and power up front, I imagine if he stays fit he'll get minutes in every game he's eligible for.

I assume we'll get a highly rated forward in the summer but given we play with three up top he'll have the chance to prove he's worth keeping or put himself in the shop window.
