Anyway I’ve seen a figure of 5m at the time and as low as 2m quoted for the fee more recently, which is ok for cover.
I have to say, didn’t want a stop gap signing on a long contract and I was relieved when his contract was only until the end of the season. That’s a definite change in approach by the club and signals to me that were being more careful.
