I honestly thought he'd get a decent amount of playing time mainly from the bench.

For a side that plays 3 up top to only have 2 genuine forwards in the squad for the majority of the season is baffling. Actually it's dreadful fore thinking.

In hindsight it was a pointless signing given how little time he's gotten. At least it was a short contract. An expensive 'loan' fee though.

There's been loads of games where DCL has been blowing out of his arse or Richarlison playing like an absolute donkey.

Dodgy knees injury prone we won't be signing him move on wages far to high age wise ......TBF bes been used as a winger .......with our weak tired midfield a 442 with him & DCL upfront and more use of a long ball game maybe?

It’s a 6 month loan in essence. Doesn’t really matter at the end of the day.

He obviously isn't good enough. He's a signing similar to Gardner and Senderos, brought in to cover potential injuries but the manager would rather not use if possible.

I agree but i doubt a PL club will come in for him tbh and his loan here has been a bit of a joke.

This spell really won't have helped with his wage demands though. Any potential taker is going to point to the season he's had and say 'we're the one taking a chance on you here, not the other way round'.

The stupidity of football clubs never ceases to amaze me. Someone like Newcastle or Southampton will be tempted
