Transfer Rumour Juan Mata

You're right .. But not because of the price. The fact the they got fined is where football has lost. Everything is about money and greed. No serious punishments are handed out, it's always a fine. Even when suspensions are handed out, they're always accommodated with a fine
yeah, absolutley. it seems punishments are handed out that are inconsequential to the offenders. As well as fining mega rich clubs who wont bat an eye lid, look at the euros and russian fans firing flares inside a ground then attacking people inside the stadium,, nothing of any consequence happened to russia there. i think theres been more discussion on how to punish wales for the players taking their kids onto the pitch that how to dal with the violence problem thats coming bck into football lately.

Juan Mata was sold by Jose Mourinho when the pair were at Chelsea
It was Mourinho who sold the Spanish international to United for a then record £37.1m because he wanted him to play wider and didn’t work hard enough defensively.

Mata, 28, has scored 26 times in 104 appearances for United but the writing looked to be on the wall for the end of his stay as soon as Mourinho was appointed.

And even though he wants to remain at Old Trafford and fight for his first-team place, Mourinho has already made up his mind and is ready to sell him again.

Mata, who spent most of last season playing on the right, is one of the most popular figures in the United dressing room.

Manchester United new signings Eric Bailly and Henrikh Mkhitaryan were met by some enthusiastic fans on Thursday evening as they returned to their hotel after a pre-season training session

United have signed his replacement in Henrikh Mkhitaryan, who was brilliant on the right-wing for German side Borussia Dortmund last season.

Mata will, however, have plenty of clubs from the Premier League and abroad ready to chase his signature.

Everton boss Ronald Koeman, who has already confirmed that he is interested in signing Mata, would be asked to pay a fee of around £20m.

Stoke are also believed to be keeping tabs on developments while Turkish giants Fenerbahce have had it clear that they are interested.

They took both Robin van Persie and Nani from United last season and would be able to offer Mata Champions League football.

Meanwhile, United’s interest in Pogba is genuine but attempts to sign him have barely begun,Press Association Sport understands.

Speculation linking Pogba with a world-record £100million return to United has increased since Mourinho indicated the club were ready to focus full attention on a fourth and final summer transfer target.

That has been widely assumed to mean France and Juventus midfielder Pogba, and reports have now emerged claiming United have reached agreement with the player’s agent over pay. They go on to suggest this now puts United in a position to lodge an official bid with Juve.

But, while it is understood United are interested in the 23-year-old, who left Old Trafford on a free transfer four years ago, the prospect of any deal is some way off.

It is not thought any discussions have taken place with Juventus - and the Italian club are reportedly reluctant to sell. He is contracted until 2019 and could be offered a new deal in Turin. Real Madrid have also been linked with the Frenchman.

United have already signed three players since Mourinho was appointed in May - former Sweden striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic, Armenia playmaker Mkhitaryan and Ivory Coast defender Eric Bailly.
