I have read that they will be two separate deals.

I understand the way it would work it's just that I honestly don't remember many high profile transfers of that nature actually happening. The press loves to bring them up all the time though

I highly doubt that swap deal will happen. The only way to convince Juventus right now is huge money not a player. They just signed Pjanic so I don't see why they want Mata. And they could use the money to buy Veratti which is a player they need more than Mata.
I can still see you guys are ahead of Juventus to get Mata.
