The funds for the signing didn't free up until we broke PSG on Gana's fee and loaned out Gomes.

The implications are that Lampard/Thelwell thought it was the lowest priority item, and that the failure to sign someone by leaving it to the end can be chalked up to mismanagement of transfer dealings by previous occupants of Thelwell's office and the board.

To be honest I’m still totally confused how much money we had to spend in this transfer window. The midfield improvements are good which will help a weak forward line. Let’s just hope Maupay delivers the goods.
