Player Valuation: £35m
You couldn't make it up could you.

Rich oil billionaire: "Kaka you fancy fighting a relegation battle in rainy manchester, or staying put in Serie A at one of the worlds biggest clubs, playing in europe every season and enjoying the italian climate?"

Kaka: "I'm happy where I am. I belong to Jesus etc."

Rich oil billionaire shows kaka pay cheque.

Kaka press release: "Man City is a massive club, I always wanted to play for them - as soon as I realised they were in for me, my mind was made up and I had to sign..."

- having said that I expect him to laugh it off. All the money in the world but you cant attract world class players to a side thats fighting relegation by waving money around - all you'll end up with is mercenaries.

It will be interesting to see who goes there and the reasons they give for choosing city.

I'm still disappointed with city. I had hoped that when they got their new ground that they would name one of the stands behind the goal after Colin Bell. I loved him as a player, but would love it more to hear the fans chant ' can you hear the Bell end sing'.

They cant even get hold Santa Cruz or Bellamy from sides in financial crisis or figthing at the bottom at the moment so someone like Kaka aint going anywhere.

I honestly think Robinho will go in the summer if anyone's interested in him - as with Jo, Elano, Benjarni, Johnson, Ben Heim...a fair few of the squad actually. If not they'll just be benched all season.

Milan would probably accept the offer - if it is as high as the rumored numbers - and that means that Milan would be able to buy about 5 top class players with it.

seriously i think these players hear manchester and then they go into deep thought, not hearing the word citey and presuming it's united. some of these wont even realise that there is another team in manc. city fans must be on one hand delighted that they have financial security but also brassed off that these players are going to arrive for one reason and one reason only, to take in a year what they will work a lifetime for and not necessarily give them any better than they have had in the past.

even with 100 million they'd do well to identify a player better than kaka.

He destroyed Man Utd in the 06/07 Champions League. I can't see why he wouldn't be as good as he is in Serie A.

because he'd be playing for money - and his peers would all be doing the same on the man city gravy train.

No-one expects them to do anything other than yo-yo between the championship and the premiership.

why work hard?

the thing to bear in mind is milan would probs accept a 100 million offer, but why would kaka agree to go there?

money. end off.

Its not like when chelsea were buying a squad to win the premiership - they were already a champions league team.

City are a million miles away. For kaka it would be;

a step down, and a lowering of ambition to play for a lesser club.

a team not in europe (unless they once again fluke the fair play league)

a team not in the champions league, which is realistically where one of the two best players in the world should be playing

all this could impact on his international status

playing in England when he's quite comfortable and enjoying the quality of life that italy affords.

- the only positive is his wages will likely go up to a quarter of a million a week. I guess we'll see how spiritual kaka is.

Kaka doesnt play for money, he gives a chunk of his wages to God, but we will never see Kaka at City, City are [Poor language removed] and even God knows that.
